How To Tangi

Planning For Your Own Tangi/Funeral

How To Tangi is a kaupapa that aims to support whānau to gain understanding and confidence around death, dying and tangihanga.

Death can be an uncomfortable topic to discuss, especially thinking about our own passing. However, it is a really important kaupapa/topic to kōrero/talk about with the people you care about.

We've created some resources to support you to plan for your own tangi/funeral - the content includes some tips to talk with your whānau and to start making a plan, as well as some things we think may be important for you and your whānau to consider, research and discuss together.

We have a PDF available with some prompts to think about and discuss, and additional space to record a funeral plan and other important information.
